Fiumicino, ridotta la minima separazione radar in finale

Come già trattato nel recente articolo [leggi articolo], la minima separazione radar orizzontale standard è di 5 NM ma entro i limiti laterali e verticali di CTR/CTA/TMA di Roma è prevista una riduzione a 3 NM entro un raggio di 60 NM dalla testata “Fiumicino 2 Radar”. Dal 6 maggio 2019, con il NOTAM A3014/19 permanente, verrà introdotta un’ulteriore riduzione della minima separazione radar per i traffici in finale 16L e 34R a Roma-Fiumicino.

La separazione minima radar verrà ridotta a 2,5 NM per gli aeromobili stabilizzati nell’avvicinamento finale di Fiumicino entro 10 NM dalla testata 16L o 34R se sussistono le seguenti condizioni:

  • l’azione frennate in pista è ‘buona’ e non è presente contaminazione (ghiaccio, fango, neve o acqua);
  • il sistema di sorveglianza della TWR e il radar di superficie sono operativi;
  • le vie di rullaggio di uscita rapida per la pista in uso sono disponibili;
  • gli aeromobili in atterraggio liberano la pista speditamente secondo le seguenti procedure per la riduzione del tempo in pista:
    • i piloti devono pianificare il roll out in modo tale da utilizzare le vie di uscita rapida;
    • richieste di estendere il landing roll non devono essere fatte all’ATC;
    • i piloti non abili a liberare attraverso le uscite rapide devono darne notifica entro le 10 NM dal touchdown o il prima possibile.

Si ricorda che nell’ambito dell’applicazione delle separazioni deve essere considerata anche la categoria della turbolenza di scia: quando appropriato e quando maggiore si applicano infatti le minime separazioni radar per turbolenza di scia.
