
Aggiornamento 20/06/2019: AIP SUP 2/2019 cancellato
Dal 19 marzo al 30 giugno 2019* (stimato) si svolgeranno lavori di riqualifica delle infrastrutture di volo dell’aeroporto di Verona-Villafranca. I lavori saranno finalizzati alla realizzazione di una nuova “turn pad” per la pista 04 e della nuova RESA per pista 22. Data la vicinanza delle zone di lavoro alle THR 04 e 22, la pista sarà chiusa giornalmente dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali. I lavori saranno suddivisi in 6 fasi la cui attivazione sarà notificata attraverso NOTAM, la prima fase sarà attiva dalle 01.00 del 18 marzo. Nelle prime fasi non sarà disponibile l’ILS 04 e non saranno consentiti decolli in bassa visibilità (LVTO) per l’assenza delle luci di centro pista. Le maggiori limitazioni durante le 6 fasi sono le seguenti.
Fase 1
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista strumentale di non precisione (ILS non disponibile), pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali, nuova posizione threshold 04, nuove distanze dichiarate temporanee per pista 04/22;
- Limitazioni operative delle taxiway e apron taxiway: chiuse le vie di rullaggio A, B e parzialmente la T tra la taxiway C (esclusa) e B (compresa).

Fase 2
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista strumentale di non precisione (ILS non disponibile), pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali.
Fase 3
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista strumentale di non precisione (ILS non disponibile), pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali, nuova posizione threshold 22, distanze dichiarate INT TAKE OFF dal Y, F e C non disponibili;
- Limitazioni operative delle taxiway e apron taxiway: chiuse le vie di rullaggio Y, K, F e parzialmente la T tra la taxiway F (compresa) ed E (esclusa).

Fase 4
Ripristino della testata pista 22.
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista strumentale di non precisione (ILS non disponibile), pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali.
Fase 5
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista strumentale di non precisione (ILS non disponibile), pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali.
Fase 6 (mai entrata in vigore)
Nuovo ILS ‘IVRN’.
- Limitazioni operative RWY 04/22: pista 04 strumentale di precisione CAT I, nuovo ILS/DME IVRN, pista chiusa dalle 00.00 alle 06.00 locali.

L’area di sicurezza di fine pista (RESA – Runway End Safety Area) è un’area simmetrica rispetto al prolungamento dell’asse pista e adiacente alla fine della striscia di sicurezza. Ha lo scopo di ridurre il rischio di danni agli aeromobili che dovessero arrivare troppo corti in atterraggio o uscire di pista in decollo o in atterraggio.
La runway turn pad è un’area adiacente alla pista con lo scopo di consentire un’inversione in pista di 180°.
